Pretty Little Pieces sounds interesting, and I like the historical genre, too. I guess any story that's well-written or interesting! I like biographies very much- not of celebs but of regular people. I reallyt like Adeline Yen Mah a lot. Her memoir was called Falling Leaves: The True Story Of An Unwanted Chinese Daughter. It's like she had 4 other siblings and they were blaming her for killing their mother, who died due to complications of her birth. It was really good and I couldn't put the book down. I really cared about the characters, you know? As far as other books, I really liked French author Maguerite Duras (The Lover) but the last book I read by her-Blue Eyes, Black Hair (I think)- was all of 60 pages and just TERRIBLE! I wondered how her literary agent could manage to eat on the commission he or she gets from selling that drivel. Don't read it. Trust. *Sorry but I lost my place in using this blackberry. But yeah, I do like literature (whatever that means), but I don't like it when the author doesn't consider his readers needs when penning the book.

A lot of literature seems to be a little self indulgent on the part of the author sometimes IMHO. Ha ha.
